Tho Corn:rds~ion
of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, F'ridayevening, June 13th, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Hoey, Comm:i.ssioner Busch, Commissioner Sorenson, City Attorney Aitken,
Ci ty N:anager Lake and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had to-wi t:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, .s.nd it was moved b.,-c Commissioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the minutes be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey,
Commissioner Busch and Commissioner Sorenson; those votinp; No, none.
Request for Sidewalk
Miss Bertha Clow and krs. Sue Cannon appeared and requested the order to construct
the sidewallc on West Garfield along the side of T-Er. B. 1.:. B.s.r:berg's property stand as
originnll:7 ordered. ~,~r. Bamberg was present and stated he had, for various reasons,
aslced to be relieved of constructing the walle for another year, and had wri tten the Com-
mission to that effect. The Commission stated tha t under the circumstances, they did
not feel tha t L:r. Bomb erg 's reques t was unreasonable and tha tit had been granted, and
they were of the opinion their decision should stand.
Mr. O. E. Shepherd was present and asked to be relieved of constructing a sidewalle
at 1201 South Willson; that the walk did not connect w~.th any walk to the south and only
served a very few people. The Commission stated that under the circumstances as presented,
that the order to construct the walk could be extended for another year.
Noise & Parking On East Peach Street
Mr. B. C. Parker, R. C. ;,;orris, and B. F. Bunker appeared before the COm.r.1ission to
discuss the complaints regarding the noise, parking on Peach Street, and the use of the
b ullding at 629 Bas t Peach Street as a warehous e .

used as a warehouse for thirty years and is loca ted in tl1e Industrial area.
The City Attorney stated thq t from information as presented now and at other
time~, it seems to be a pri va te nuisance and therefore not to be deal t with by rrhe
Oi ty of Bo zeman.
Petition for Pavin~ Arthur & Fifth
A petition signed by five property owners, requ.esting th:cit Arthur Street between
4th and 5th Avenues, and Fifth Avenue between Garfield and Hayes Streets be paved was
presented.
Mr. & Mrs. Joe Livers, ~r. & Mrs. A. T. VanCamp, D. Pl~tsch, T. B. Holker, and
Mrs. 3ne Cannon and r,lrs. Grace Swim were present and discussed the proposed district.
After considerable discussion, it was moved by CommissIoner Busch, seccmded by Com-
mis s loner Sorenson tha t the City i\ ttorne~T be ins tru-: ted to prepare a Resolu ti on of

The report of the Plumbing Inspector was presented. It was moved by Gommiss:l.oner
Sorenson, seconded by Commlss oner Busch, th3 t the report be accepted and ordered filed

different places; that he had invited 1,Tr. J. A. Ring, of the Empire Equipment uompany,
to appear and explain their concrete mixers.

held in Glendive, which he attended. He stated furt::-18r th.,t the 1942 Convention would
be held in Bozeman.

Recreation Board. It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner
