The CornItfission of The Ci ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Comr1ission
Room, City Hall Building, Friday evening, July 5, 1940, at 7:30 o'Glock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Eoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Lake, City Attorney Aitken,
City Manager Henderson, Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk when the follow-
ing proceedings were had to-wi t:
The minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner
Lake, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the minutes be approved as read and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Co~~is-
sioner Busch and Co~~is3ioner Lake; those voting No, none.
Reports
The following reports for the month of June were presented:
Cashier
Fire Chlef
Pollce Jude,:e
City Engineer
Cemetery Board
Chief of Police
Director of Finance
Plumbing Inspector
Building Inspector
It was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Comnissioner ~ake that the reports
be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being ];:ayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch and Commissioner Lake; those voting
No, none.
Purchase of Copper Pipe
The Manager requested authority to purchase approximately 2000 feet of copper pipe
for the Water Department. He stated that such purchase would cost about <~300.00. It
was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner ....ake that the Ci ty 1.1anager be
authorized to purchase this copper pipe and the motion was carried b: the following Aye
and No vo te; those voting Aye being Mayor Rosy J Cor.t.-r::1issioner Busch and Commiss loner Lake;
those voting No, none.
Applications for City Licenses
The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read:
Model Barber Shop
Neely Garage
Hartley Cabinet Shop
Central Motor Service
Tuttle's Service
It was moved by Commissioner Lake, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the appllca-
tlons be arproved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch and Commissioner
Lake; those voting No, none.
Resolution No. 471 -- WpA Project
The I\:anager stated that WPA requested a resolution from the City of Bozeman requesting
the "Works Progress Adminls tra tioD to beein opera tions of the Parks & Playgrounds }'ro ject.
He stated that the City Attorney had prepared such a Resolution and presented ResohJtion
No. 471, entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMIS:3ION OF THE CITY 01' BOZEI':AN, MONTANA, DECL1\HING
'l'lIE AGRE~It:mT OF SAID Cm~MIS5ION rro ASSU1'i:E AND PAY THE SPONSORSHIP SHARE
OF TWENTY-FIVE PER CENTUM OF THE TOTAL COST OP THE CIT'1 01<' BOZEMAN PARKS
AND PLAYGROUNDS PROJECT OF TIill WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION OF THE
UNI'l'KD STATES GOVERNMENT, SAID PROJECT BEING ArPROVED AS O. P. 65-1-91-2233,

It was moved by Commissioner Lake, seconded by CommissIoner Busch that the resolution
be passed and adopted anc~ the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vo te; those

none.

The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and
lawful claims against The City of Bozemar, and recommends that warrants be drawn for
their payment. After examination of the claims in detail bJ' the Commission, it was
moved by Commissioner Lake, seconded by Commissioner BUBCll that warrants be drawn
for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those
voting Aye being Mayor Roey, Commissioner Busch and Commssioner Lake; those voting
No, none.

was moved by Conunissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner Lake that the meeting adjourn
