Le~se on Pondera Tract Tbe Manager read a letter from H. A. Bedinger, Regional ~.'lanaEer, Civil Aeronautics Authority. This letter was particularly to discuss a renewal of the lease of the U. S. Government on the site for the radio range station which 1s located on the Pondera Tract. r,~r. Bedinger also discussed tb.e possibill ty of The Ci ty of Bozeman takinG over the lease on the prosen t Belgrade airport as a temporary port and a Iso the posslbili ty of develop- men t of the Pondera ~'rac t as a permanen t airport for this Ci ty. A blank lease, for a five-year ter:n, on the radio ranGe site was enclosed. Pull and careful consideration was riven to the possibility of development of the Fondera Tract, on which the radio range si te Is loca ted, for a permanen t airport and it was the concensus of opinion of the Ci ty Commission that tl1erenllc;ht be some possibili ty of development of this tract wi thin less than five years, whereupon it was moved by Conmissioner Busch, seconded b7 Comi~jissioner Lalm, that the lease on the radio range sl te be renewed for a poriod of one year from .Jul.y 1st, 1940 on the same terms per yeer as the existIng lease, and t:t13t this motIon au thori.?e the Mayor to sip;n such a lease for The Ci ty of Boz8nan and the motion was carried by the follow:.ng Aye and lio vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey. WPA lJroject City Hall The h.anaeer stated that the WPA Project for improvement of the Cit:;r hall had been completed; that the WPA required thAt a certificate of acceptance be signed.
