City l1all BuildinG, Friday evening, March 29, 1940, at 7:30 o'clock P.T!:. Those being
present were Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Lake, City:tvlanacer l-'-6nderson,
Director of Finance Walter D[jvis and the Clerk, whenthe foll'J\"J:ing proceedings were flad:

Request to Rezone portion of Business Zone
The Reverends, W. T. Reeves, Walter Spaulding, R. H. Barrett, J. R. IIestenes, and
N:r. .r. O. Tretsvon, J. A. Bartholomew and Chas.F. L:;l:lan representinG members of the
Bozeman Ivlinisterial Association were present to request that tbe City Commission rezone
the area at Willson ~< Olive Streets for a residence or cburch zone, so as to restrict
business from this zone.
The delega tion was 'unformed by the COJ:lmiss2.on the t the zone could not be chanced
except by an a!~1endrrlent to the present Zon::ng Ordinance ano. tl.i.ey \'Fre also informed what
proceedure would be necessary for an amendment to this Orcllnance.
After dIscussion, t.hose present decided to present their case to the Continental
Oil Compan;r, W~"JO plan to constr11ct a filling station hero, to see what could be done.
