The Commission of 'rhe vi ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission
Room, City Hall Building, Friday evening, May 24, 1940, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. rUlOse
being present were Mayor Roey, Commissioner Lake, Commissioner Busch, City Attorney
Aitken, City Manager Henderson Hnd Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk
when tbe following proceedings were had to-wit:

Petitions He: D03s
Mr. Dave Robinson appeared before the Commission and presented petitions signed
by residents of The City of Boze!11un requesting that the City Commission take measures
to control the unrestricted freedom of dogs in the City.
Mr. Robinson suggested that the Co~nission notify the dog owners to keep their
doC's on their own premises.
r1he matter was discussed by the Commission and the petitions ordered filed.
Bond & Contracts SID No. 331 & 332
The Manager presented trie bonds and contracts of tile Standard Construction Com-
pany for the cons truc tion of Special Impro vemen t Dis tric ts No. 331 and 332, sani tary
on East Main and on Dell Place respectively. The bonds and contracts were approved
as to form by the City Attorney, whereupon it was moved b~l Comnissioner Busch,
seconded by Commissioner Lake that the bonds and contracts be accepted and approved
that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign for the ~i ty and the certified
checks re turned to the bidder and the mo tion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote; those vot~ng Aye being Mayor Hoe y, Connnis sioner Busch and Gommlss ioner
Lake; those votine; No, none.
Heco::nmonctation -- Board of Adjustment -- Extension of "An District
The Manager presented the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment that the City
Commiss ion amend the present Zoning Ordinance to ex tend the 11 AI' Residence Di3 tric t
two and one-half blocks south of Cleveland and one and one-half blocks north of
Cleveland Avenue, and also to clarify the definitions of apartment houses and mul-
tiple-family dwellin:rs. Reference is made to AdJustment Board Proceedlngs of Ma:r 20, 1940.
1'he recommendation was referred to the Ci ty Attorney, and he was instructed to
prepare and present an ordinance conform.tng with tl::e recommendations
Plumbing & Gas Inspection

The Manager read a communlcatlon from Fred Willson, architect, stating that PWA
required a certificate from the City stating that the gas and plumbing installations

He stated that the City inspector had inspected the installations from time to
time and they had also be inspected by the PWA Inspector and the Architect's Inspector.

lations meet wi th the requirements of this City and the motion was carried by the fol-

The applic.''ltlon of the Bozeman Country Club for a Beer License was presented and
read. It Was moved b;T Commissioner Lake, secondod by Commissioner Busch that the ap-
plications be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by tile fol-
lowing Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoe:r, Commissioner I31Jsch and
Commissioner Lake; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it
was moved by Conuniss ioner BuscL, seconded by Gonrrnis[3ion",r Lake that the mee ting adjourn
