The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commisslon Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, June 28, 1940, at 7:30 o'clock P.~~. Those being
present were Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Lake, City Attorney Aitken,
City Manager henderson, Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk when the follow-
ing proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commi2sioner
Buscr~, seconded by Commissioner Lake the t the minutes be approved 8S read and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote; tilose voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Commis-
sioner Busch and Commissioner Lake; those voting No, none.
Building Steel Garages on Babcock between Tracy & Willson
Mr. M. J. Owenhouse appeared before the Commission to seek information on a permit
to construct five two-car garages of fabricated steel on lots 16 & 17; Block A; Story's
Addition, located in Fire Zone No. l.
After discussion by the Commission, the Manager
was ins truc ted to secure informs ti on from the Board of F'ire Underwrl teTs as to whe ther
this type of construction would affect fire insurance rates on surrounding buildings
before any decision is reached.
Applics tlons for Ci t:t Licens e
The following applications for City Licenses were presented & read:

Adams Motor Co.
Richart T. Sinnema
It was moved by Commis sioner Busch, seconded by Commis sioner Lake that the applica-
tions be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Conunis::,.ioner Busch and Commissioner
Lake; those votIng No, none.
Communica tion -- Re Heal th
A communica tlon from the Publ ic Health Commi ttee of the Chamber of Commerce was read,
requesting the continued support of the City-County Health unit by the City. Since there
had been no proposal or intent on the part of the Ci~ to discontinue or decrease tlw
amount of its contribution to the Health Unit, the Manager was instructed to so advise
this Chamber of Commerce Committee.
