Dear Commissioners,
It is my understanding that a review of the B2M parking standards has been finalized and a
recommendation is coming forward on August 14 to reduce the required parking within this zoning
district.
As a local design professional who has worked on a few options now for Midtown redevelopment, I
can say from first-hand experience that this change in parking requirements will have a positive
effect on potential development projects. Within the Legislative Findings, specifically Items 12, 15,
16, & 17, our potential clients have been in full agreement. These items are consistent with what we
are seeing as needs to help achieve successful pro formas, especially considering the ever-increasing
local development costs.
I urge you to support this ordinance. Thank you for your consideration.
