Chris this email is to express my concern about installing the wall at the swim center pool. We all agree that usage
of the pool has increased but cutting the length down is not a solution to the problem. I have used the pool regularly
3 days a week for over 20 years & I choose to swim there because of the longer length of the pool. I also understand
the swim team's need for short course training but to cut the length of the pool for almost 9 months of the year and
opening the long course for only 2.5 months (since the pool closes for 2 weeks in August) does not seem to be a fair
trade to those who have regularly used the pool for lap swimming. It is also very frustrating that this decision was
somehow made without any input from the people it is gong to affect the most!
I ask the city & commissioner's to reconsider extending the number of months for long course swimming so that the
public & tax payers can enjoy the longer length pool until this city has the resources to build a new one.
