Dear Honorable Mayor and Commissioners,
The renewed proposal for the development at the corner of Olive and Black is in my opinion
unfortunately yet another failed attempt to build what Commissioner Krauss referred to incommentary as 'too much building for the site'. Commission Pomeroy was in favor of the
previous proposal for her reasons, Commissioner Andrus was opposed for many reasons, butthe remaining Commissioners and Mayor opposed for what I feel were reasons almost solely
related to the Developer's blatant disregard for sharing the public street space with neighbors. According to national average number of cars owned per household the newly developed
plans will consume 32% of the 190 available spaces on Olive and South Bozeman when City code only allocates it
1.6%. So, as I stated in my previous comments to you regarding the previous iteration of this development; "Honorable
Mayor and Commissioners, is the City willing to take a precedent-setting gamble in a situation where your hand has been
forced by private development and not necessarily the will of the people?"
Sincerely,
Sam Haraldson
