HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-01-08 L\3~~ Bozeman, Montana January 8, 1947 The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, January 8, 1947, at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Those being present were Mayor Healy, absent. The following proceedings were had to-wit: Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Quinnell, City Attorney Aitken, and the Clerk; Commissioner Sorenson. The minutes of the last regular session were read and approved. Bids for Street F'lusher The Manager stated that this was the time and place set for the opening of bids for a street flusher. He presented and read the affidavit of publication and the Notice to Bidders, whereul'on, it was carried. Thereupon the following bids were opened end read: was moved by Commissioner Lowe. seconded by Mayor Healy that the bids be opened and read and the motion Flusher with Standard e9,uipment $ 3150.00 Western Construction Equipment Co. The following bids were opened and read: The sealed bid of Grande & Company. $100.07 at 5~ interest; and an oral bid of the Conunercial National Bank at par value and 6% interest. I I I I I I The matter of determining the highest and best bid was taken under advisement, pending the answering of certain questions by Grande & Company relative to furnishing transcri!,ts and accepting the bonds at monthly intervals if, as and when issued. Reforts The following reports for the month of December, 1946 were presented and read: Cashier Folice Chief Water Collector F'ire Chief Cemetery Board and the annual report of the Chief of Foli ceo It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Mayor Healy that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried. Claims for the Month Claims Nos. 11673 to 11856 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows: General $ 12,029.99 Withholding Tax 807. 70 Water 2,992.25 Parking Meter 1,179.93 Library 589.30 h.rk 1,963.46 Cemetery 490.61 Airport 3.00 Garbage L 288. 55 Band 643.35 Folice Reserve 86.15 flumbing Examiner's 5.00 $ 22,079. 29 The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims against the City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their payment. After examination of the clainls in detail by the City Commissioners, it was moved by Corrunissioner Lowe, seconded by :Mayor Healy that the claims be approved and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried.
