HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-02-05 442 Boz ens n , Mon tana February 5th, 1947 The Commission of The Ci ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, February 5th, 1947, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Those being present were Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Quinnell, City Attorney Aitken, and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had: The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis s ion er Lowe ilia t the minutes be approved a s read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. I Applications for City Licenses The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read: Henry Suhr Eddy's Bskery Rowles-Mack Co. Dr. C. S. Smi th Bozeman Jewelry Co. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the appli- ca tions be approved arid the lic enses issued and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Claims for the Month Claims Nos. 11857 to 11996 and Nos. 1 to 27 inclusive were presented on the various funds a s fa llows : Band Cemetery Cerny. Perm. After examination of the claims in detail by theCity Commissioners, it was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the claims be approved and warrants drawn for their payment and themotion was carried b:T the following Aye and No vote; those voting No, none; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe. Reports The following reports for the month of January 1947 were presented and read: Cashier Engineer Police Judge Police Chief Cemetery Board Sanitary Inspector I., and the City Manager's Quarterly report for the period ending December 31st, 1946 was also presented and read. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Ayebeing Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. 1 I ..1 14." f",\ 'f. ~ (:) Gas Fitter's Continuation Certificate The conintuation certificate for the Gas Fitter's Bond of the Owenhouse Hardware Com- pany was presented. The certificate was approved as to form by the City Attorney, where- upon, it was moved by Commissioner Soresnon, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the Certif- icate be approved and accepted and the motion was carried by the following rlye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorensonand Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Advance Planning Fund Alloted City ~enager Ouinnell read telegrams stating that $18,750.00 had been a110ted The City of Bozeman for advance planning of the sewage trea tmen t plant by the Federal Governmen t. Examination of Depository Bonds The City Commission examined and checked the receipts field by the Director of Finance for Deposl tory Bonds covering the depos i t of City Funds in the various Ci ty banks. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the list being found suffic ien t be en tered in full In the mm utes and the mo tion was ca rried by the fo llow- ing Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commis- sioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
