The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in an adjourned session in the Commi~sion
Room, City Hall Building, March 14th, 1947, at 5:00 o'clock P.M. Those beinF present were
~ayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager ~uinnell, and the Clerk,
when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
Claim for Sewer PIpe
Clairr No. 217 of the Lovell Clay Products Company in the amount of $387.34 was pre-
and read. The Manager explained that the pipe had been received and that a discount of
$13.94 could be saved by m"lking payment within ten days. After examination of the Claim
by the Commission, it was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe
that the claIm be allowed and a warrant drAwn for its payment, and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Comm_issioner Sor-
enson and Commissioner Lowe; those votIng No, none.
Purchase of PowAr Qhovel
The Manager presented a tabulation of the shovel bids received March 12th, 1947. 'lhe
tabulations were studied and it was pointed out that the bid for a ~~adger machine was low,
with delivery time three to fmJr weeks from receipt of order. The Manager reported that
he had checked with sevcrql shovel operators and they had reported that the Badger was a
good serviceable machine, large enoul2;h to handle the work of the City. The Commission
decided tha t the Badger machine belD&! the lowe/? t in price and the deli very da te beinf!
satisfactory, it wOl11d be the best buy for The City of Bozemar', and it was moved by Com-
missioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson thBt the bid of the Western Construc-
tion Equipment Company in the amount of $8,450.00 f.o.b. Bozeman, Montana for a t cubic
yard Badger shovel be accepted and the motion was ca rried b;,' the following Aye and No
vote; those voting Aye being ~I!ayor Healy, CommissIoner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe;
those voting No, none.
