Those being present were Mayor Healy, Commissjoner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Attorney Aitken, City Manager Quinnell, and the Clerk, when the following proceedinp's were had to-wit: Garbage bids for 1947-1948 The Manager stated that under the matter of unfinished business was the openjng of bids for the collection and disposal of garbage from the residential section of the City for a twelve-months period, ending June 3Jth, 1948. He presented the affidavit of pub1ica.- tioD of the Notice to bidders, wherEu POD, it was moved by Commifisioner Sorensor, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the bids be opened and read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those votinp' Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. The following bids were, thereupon, opened and read: Ser,ric e to Curb or Alley Line Additional Charge for Special Service per month. Harold T.1aaland <1' ,~ 18,346.40 15,560.00 17,995.00 50~ per caD + lOI for each additional box or can 50~ per can Henry Suhr 50~ to $1.00 per can de- pending on the size. It was pointed out that the contract price for the garbage disposal for last year Maurice L. Thompson was $l4,993.00. After discussion and consideration of all bids submitted, it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the bids be taken under advisement for further study and consideration and the ~otion was carried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote; tho se voting Aye being Ma yor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Com- missioner Lowe; tbose voting No, none. Bond of A. "F. Hags, Chief of Police The bond of A. N. Haas, as Chief of police, in the amount of $2000.00 was presented. The bond was approved as to form by the City Attorney, whereupon, it was moved by Com- missioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe tha t tbe bond be accepted and approved and the motion was carried b;T the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye beIng Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Adjournment There being no further busine8s to come before the Commisslon at this time, it was moved by Commissioner I,owe, seconded by Commis'sioner Sorenson that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
