After careful consideration b~ the City Commission, it was thought the t l't would be unwise to grant exclusive rights to the use of the Drill Hall for so long a period, as the Armory, being a community bUilding, its use should be confined, in so far as possible, and whenever necessary to community purposes, rather than reserved exolusively for individual profit. However, i t wa s thought that the building could be engaged for a day or so in anyone month, in advance, for dancing or other entertainment where an admission fee is charged, but not for an extended period as such a reservation might be against the public interest, and that Mr. Abelin should be so notified. It was further suggested that full payment should be made at fue time the reservation is arranged.
