The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, February Is t, 1946, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Quinnell,
City Attorney Aitken, Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk, when the following
I proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the minutes be approved as read, and the mo-
tion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Applications for City Licenses
The following applications for City Business Licenses were presented and read:

Hotel Lyall M. P. Schaurer Northern Pacific Ry. Co.
Ho tal Bax ter Cresap McCrakcen Ellen Theatre Newsstand
Oxford Hotel Fred F. Willson Jacobson-McHaney Motor Co.
State Auto Co. Dr. Florence Riesland Safeway stores No. 4 & 195
J. H. Dickson Ga lla tin Farmer t s Co.
and the ~pplications of the Park Ice & Cold Storage for a wholesale beer license and the
applications of the Eagle's Lodge for a beer and a liquor license were also presented and
read. It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis sioner Lowe tha t the ap-
plications be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vo te; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner
I Lowe; those vo ting No, none.
Reports
. The following reports for the mon th of January, 1946 were presented and read:
Fire Chief Police Judge Librarian
It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the reports
be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those
voting No, none.
Communication -- Arcade
A communication from the Arcade, 23 West Main, was presented and read, s ta ting tha t
if a t any time, the City of Bozeman is to grant any additional beer and liquor licenses,
they would appreciate having one of these licenses issued to them.
Claims for the Month
Claims Nos. 9643 to 9793 inclusive were presented on the various funds a s follows:

and claims Nos. 402 to 415 inclusive in the amount of $925.39 for the 9peration of the
Nursery School were also presented. The Manager stated that he has a11dited these claims
and finds them to be true and lawful claims against The City of Bozeman and recommends

that warrants be drawn for their payment. After examination of the claIms in detail by the
City Commission, it was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that
the claims be approved and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by
the, following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson
and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Appointments -- Cemetery Board and Adjustment Board I
Mayor Healy announced the following Appointments:

ending November 8th, 1947.

It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe tha t the appoint-
ments be approved and the motion was carried by the fo llowing Aye and No vo te; those voting
Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further buslness to come before the Commission at this time, i twas
moved by Commis sioner Lowe, seconded by Commis s ioner Sorenson the t the mee ting ad journ and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowej those voting No, none. I
