HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-02-08 317 Bozeman, Montana February 8th, 1946 The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Friday evening, February 8th, 1946 , at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being present were Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Attorney Aitken, City Engineer Thorpe and the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit: I The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the minutes be approved as read, and the mo- tion was .carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being CommIssioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none 0 Applications for City Licenses The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read: Barer's Fabrick & Cook Monarch Lumber Co. Gas Co-op w. C. Kester Electric Shoe Shop Jack Brant Modern Cleaners Modern Barber Shop Obie Signs Hotel Baltimore J. C. Penney Co., Inc. Burger Inn Burnell-Baldwin Super Creamed Ice Cream Lay Laundry Dr. E. B. Keller Bozemsn Sheet Metal Works Hotel Cosner Dr. C. C. Seerley Gallatin Co. Abstract Co. Kester Hotel It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the appli- cations be approved and. the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commisdoner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports for the month of January, 1946 were presented and read: I Cashier Nursery School Sanitary Inspector Engineer Ceme tery Board Director of Finance It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by CommiSSioner Lowe that the reports be accepted and ordered. filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commtssioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Bids for Construction of SID Nos 337, 339 and 340. The notice to contractors for the receiving of bids for the construction of Special Improvement District No. 337, sanitary sewer on Tamarack Street between Rouse and Church Avenues was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson tha t the Clerk be authroized to re-advertise for bids for Special Improvement District No. 337, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commissioner Sorennon and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. The form of advertisement for the construction of Special Improvement Districts Nos. 339, sanitary sewer in the alley between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues south from West Koch Street to College Street and Special Improvement District No. 340, sanitary sewer on North Fifth Avenue from Peach Street to a point fifty feet south of Beall Street were I presented. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids for Special Improvement Districts Nos. 339 and 340 and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none. Quit Claim Deed to W. C. Krueger Mr. W. E. Krueger, owner of Lots 29 to 36; BlOCk C; Original Townsite; appeared before the Commission and ask that the City give him a quit-claim deed for a strip of atH ground approximately 14x240' which lies directly south of said Lots 29 to 36; Block C; Original Townsite and north of a triangular strip of land already owned by Mr. Krueger. After discussion, it was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a resolution and a deed conveying said strip of ground to Yr. Krueger, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and ~ No vote; those voting Aye being Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting I No, none. Adjournment ...
