The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
C1 ty Hall Building, Frida y, March 22md, 1946. Those being present were Mayor Healy, Com-
missioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Quinnell, City Attorney Aitken, and
the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
I The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Heal:." Commis-
sioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Zoning on North Seventh
Mr, .T. Kolokotrones appeared before the Commission and sta ted he would like to build
an addition to the building on his propert:y located on North Seventh, but that the building
wOl1ld be closer to the property line than is permitted by the Zoning Ordinance, and he was
of the opinion that the Ordinance should be amended to allow buildings to be built closer
to the property line in this business-residence di~trict.
Mr. Kolokotrones was informed that he should apply to the Building Inspector for a
building permit, and if his application was denied for the reason that it did not conform
with the Zoning Ordinance he could then appeal his case to the Board of Adjustment.
Applications for City Licenses
The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read:
Standard Construction Co. Montana Air Conditioning O'Neil Service Station

tions be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following Rye

Lowe; those voting No, none.
Parking Meter Proposals
The City Manager read a communication that had been mailed to the leading parking
meter companies inviting them to submit proposals for furnishing apprOXimately 400 parking
meters for The City of Bozeman and stating that such proposals would be considered by the
City Commission at a regular meeting to be held in the City Hall, March 29th, 1946.
Petition Re: License Plate Money
. A communication and petition from the Mayor of Billings was presented and read regard-
ing a referendum asking that cities and towns receive one-half of the money derived from
the sale of license plates for cars owned within the cities and towns of Montana.
Bond and Contracts -- SID nos. 337, 339 and 340.
The bonds and contracts of the Standard Construction Company for the construction of
Special Improvement Districts Nos. 337, 339 and 340, were presented. The bonds and con-
I tracts were approved as to form by the City Attorney, whereupon it was moved by Commissioner
Lowe, seconded by Commi2sioner Sorenson that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the
the contracts for The City of Bozeman, and the certified checks be returned to the bidder,
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.

Sewer Plans and Specifications to State Board of Health
A communication from the State Board of Health was read, stating that a Montana Sta~e
required the City to submit detailed plans and specifications of all sanitary sewer dis-
tricts to their office before work is started on the sewer construction.
It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the matter
be referred to the City Attorney for investigation, and the motion was carried by the follow- I
ing Aye and No vote; those votIng Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Com-
missioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Commending Employees Act:ion 8t Boz,erran Feed &. Grain Fire
Mayor Healy stated thAt the members of the Fire Department and other City Departments
should be commended for their work in putting out the fire at the Bozeman Feed & Grain
Company eleva tor, Sunday night; tha t due to their prompt response and efficient action,
it was possible to save the building.
It was therpfore moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe tha t
a vote of thanks be extended to the members of the Fire Department and other City Depart-
ments for their work in pu ttlng out this fire, and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner
Lowe; tho se vo ting No, none.

There being no further bu::dness to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the meeting ad~ourn
and the motion was carrled by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being I
