Dear City Planning Commission, ARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
I am contacting you in hopes to bring attention to the Urban
Sprawl that is taking over our cities. Green spaces are being
plowed over to make way for more strip malls, housing tracks
and freeways. Now our geese, ducks, and other wild life have to
find other places to nest. But too often there are NO other
places to nest or live.
Why can't city planners, local business people, and officials find
a way to incorporate the local wild life within the borders of
these strip malls? Or how about on the tops of high rises or
replace the malls that are going bankrupt? It takes such a
small amount of land and space to help keep "green areas"
alive in our cities.
We need to start thinking of our wild friends as a part of our
land scape not just a place that is "out of the way". Because
the "out of the way "places are being bulldozed too.
1 am asking you to help with the conservation of our green
areas for future generations...human and non-human. We are
not here just to make money. We are here to make the world a
better place for everyone and everything.
