RECOMMENDED MOTION: Provide input and direction to staff.
BACKGROUND: In March of 2016, the Commission was presented with the corridor recommendations for Oak Street from Rouse to Cottonwood. During discussion that night,
direction was given to complete a concept level design for the addition of medians in the section
between 7th and 19th which currently has a two way left turn lane. The consultant, Sanderson Stewart, has complete the concept design as well as an estimate of the cost of the improvements. Tonight they will provide an overview of the layout for further discussion and direction on moving forward.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: As recommended by the Commission.
FISCAL EFFECTS: If the recommendation is to move forward with the medians, the estimated cost is $600,000 to be added to a future Capital Improvement Plan.
