SUBJECT: Cannery District Phase 2 Release and Reconveyance of Easement MEETING DATE: July 24, 2017
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent Agenda
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize City Manager to sign BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy (original to City Clerk) of the Release and
Reconveyance of Easements to release an easement for an existing fire
hydrant that is being relocated as part of the Cannery District Phase 2
project. The existing hydrant is being relocated due to a conflict with the
proposed Cannery District Building K location. The Cannery District
developer will relocate the fire hydrant at their cost and provide a new
easement for the relocated hydrant and associated water main.
Engineering staff reviewed the release and reconveyance of easement and
found it to be acceptable. The City Manager must only sign and file the
easement after the existing hydrant has been relocated to maintain legal
access to the hydrant until it is relocated.
