Drew - Non-Discrimination Ordinance InformationFrom:Anna Drew To:Agenda Subject:NDO in Practice Date:Tuesday, July 18, 2017 9:50:47 AM Hello Council Members, My name is Anna Drew and I am a Council Person from Red Lodge, MT. I am looking into the logistics of passing an NDO and what the long term effect may be. I know you are a community that has a long standing NDO and was wondering if you have any numbers on how many cases have been brought forward, how many have been won by the plaintiff, and whether it seems this is a piece of policy that is working for the City of Bozeman. I commend all of you that did work on this as it is quite extensive! The other question I have been asked and thought someone may have some information on, is what the cost is to the City. My understanding is that there would be some administrative cost for your courts in filings etc. and maybe an increase the a Judge's hours. However, our City Attorney was also concerned it may change the City Insurance Rate through MMIA. Any help you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, Anna Drew Ward One City Council of Red Lodge 406.860.1978 PO Box 1315 Red Lodge, MT 59068
