The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
CIty Hall Building Friday evening, December 7th, 1945, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Quinnell,
City Attorney Aitken, Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk, when the following
proceeding,s were had te-wit:
The minutes of the last regular ses,sion were read, and it was moved by Commi~sioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the minutes be approved as read, and the mo-
tion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Claims for the Month
Claims Nos. 9298 to 9487 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows:

and claims Nos. 369 to 388 inclusive for the operation of the Nursery School in the amount
of $973.14 were also presented. The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds
them to be true and lawful clai'11s against The Ci ty of Bozeman and recommends tha t warrants
be drawn for their payment. After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commis-
sion, it was moved b~' Commissioner Lowe, seconded by CommiSSioner Sorenson that the claims
be approved and warrants be drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the follow-
ing Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commis-
sioner Lowe; thosevoting No, none.
Claims for S.I.D. No. 338.
'I'he Manager presented and read Claims No. 9488 and 9489 of the Standard Construction
Company and The City of Bozeman for the final estimate for sewer construction in Special
Improvement District No. 338, in the amount of $7061.60. He stated that this project had
been completed, under the supervision of the City Engineer and recommended that the claims
be allowed.
It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis~ioner Lowe that the
final estimate be accepted, the claIms allowed and warrants issued for their payment and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Applicntions for City Licenses
The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read:
Business License for one-half year, ending December 31, 1945.

It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissiorer Lowe that the applica-
tions be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following Aye
and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner

Reports
The following reports for the month of November, 1945 were presented and read:

and a report of the Sta te Fire Marshall condemning the property at 518 Ea st Main as a
fire hazard and ordering the owner to repair or remove the same was also read.
It was moved by Connnis sioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis sioner Lowe tha t the reports
be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those
vo ting No, none.
Resolution No. 569 -- .Certtfying Delinquent Taxes
The Manager sta ted the t the resolution certifying the delinquent ci ty taxes to the
County Treasurer and County Assessor had been prepared. He presented and read, Resolution
No. 569, entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING CERTAIN
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAY-
ABL':"~ NOVEMBER 30th, 1945, AND UNPAID AS OF THAT DATE, AND CERTAIN OTHER
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAY-
ABLE NOVEMBER 30th, 1945, AND UNPAID, DELINQUENT, AS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 594, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF TAXES xx
xxx xx, AND THR COLLECTION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, xxx xx xxx," AND SECTION
5251, POLITICAL CODE, R.C.M., 1935.
It 'was moved by Commissl oner Lowe, seconded by Commiss iO!1er Sorenson tha t the reso-
lution be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those
voting No, none.
Resolution No. 570 -- Cert~fying Delinquent Taxes.
The Manager stated that a resolution certifying the unpaid balance for paving assess-
ment on certain property, had been prepared; the County Treasurer having notified The
City of Bozeman that the County was assigning the tax sale certificates to individuals.
Said Resolution No. 570, was then presented and read~ entitled:
A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENTS DELINQUENT
AND DIRF<~CTING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO CERTIFY THE SAME TO THE COUNTY
TREASURER FOR COLLECTION.
It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that in order
to secure payment of the above assessments the resolution be passed and adopted and the
motion was carried by the: following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis8ioner Lowe that the meeting adjourn
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
