Several officers and directors of the Gallatin Sportsman Association were present
to discuss the renting of the Drill Hall at the Armory for their monthly meetings. They
stated they would like to have the rental schedule modified so their organization would
pay around $100 per year for the use of the building for one night a month, but they did
not feel they oould pay the $20.00 per day as set forth in the rental schedule. Those
present stated they felt the renting of the building for a long period, and the fact
that their organization was a civic organization working for the interest of the City
and the oommunity entitled them to a lower rental fee.
The gentlemen were informed that the present sohedule was set up on a cost basis and
it was reported that the City of Great Falls makes a charge for all users of their Civic
Center. However, after further discussion, those present were informed that the matter
would be given further consideration by the Commission and that an effort would be made
to work out a satisfactory solution to the problem.
