The Commission of The City of Bozeman met In regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, March 30th, 1945, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Healy, Commissioner Busch, City Manager Quinnell,
City Attorney Aitken, Director of Finance Walter Davis, City Engineer Thorpe and the Clerk,
when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Healy, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye~eing Mayor Landoe, Com-
missioner Busch and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.

Applications for City Licenses
The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read:

It was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner Healy tha t the applica-
tions be approved and the licenses issued. and the motion was carried by the following Aye
and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner
Busch; those ,voting No, none.
Fire Dept. -- Booster Pump
The Manager reported that the City is unable to obtain the rotary booster pump for
the Fire Department because practically all pumps of this class are being used in the war
effort and surpluss units are being reserved for cities where the need is more urgent
than that of Bozeman.

Request to Move Lamp Post Denied
The request of the Northern Pacific Railway Company for the removal of a lamp post
from the Main Street Lighting system fronting its freight depot was again discussed. It
was pointed out that this post has been at this location for many years, and as it is so
near the entrance to the City, it might not be advisable to break the symmetry to the
lighting system, it was thereupon, moved by Commis~oner Healy, seconded by Commissioner
Busch that the request be denied and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Busch and Oommissioner Healy;
those voting No, none.
Traffic Near Schools
The Manager reported that posts had been placed for rope barricades to control
traffic near the Emerson School, Holy Rosary School and the High School; and that these
ropes had been turned over to the school authorities as arranged at a former meeting. He
also stated that an overhead stop and go sign had been ordered for the intersection of
Third Avenue and Babcock Street, explaining that this sign could be controlled by a switch
located in one of the schools.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Gommipsioner Busch, secnnded byGomrnissioner Healy that the meeting adjourn and
the motion was carried by the following ~ye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Landoe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Busch; those voting No, none.
