Conser appeared before the Commission in regard to the in- stallation of the proposed new sidewalk on the west side of South Willson south of Cleveland Street. The gentlemen were informed that the property owners whose lots would be assessed for the proposed improvement had been notified of this request, and that Mr. Dewey Pratt and Louis Uhlrlch had appeared before the Commission to ask that the construction of the new walk be postponed until after the war because of the high cost of construction at this time. The gentlemen explained that they would not like to work a hardship on these lot owners, but they felt that this walk should be installed because the walk on the east side of the street has places where water collects which makes it difficult for their children to go to and from school at such times without getting their feet wet. It was explained that even though the construction is not immedia tely ordered, the worlc would probably be done just as soon as materials and labor are more readily available. 15~~ Bids -- Misc.
