Garbage Assessment
Mr. E. W. Kurk, who owns property at 120 North 9th, appeared before the Commission
in regard to the garbage assessment on this property. Mr. Kurk stated that the house at
the above address had been unoccupied for the past two years, except occasionally when he
came up from Belgrade and stayed over night and that while the water service has been paid
for continuously, no garbage service has been rendered, and no garbage removed from these
premises this year.
Mr. Kurk was informed that since the garbage assessment was now delinquent, the amount
would have to be paid at the County Treasurer's Office to clear the records; but that if
he felt a refund was due him, he was at liberty to file a claim in the regular manner,
to be acted upon by the City Commission at a later meeting.
