The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, December 15th, 1944, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Landoe and Commissioner Healy, City Manager Quinnell, City Attorney
Aitken, Director of Finance Walter Davis, City Engineer Thorpe and the Clerk, when the
following proceed..ngs were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regl1lar session were read, and it was m.oved by Commissioner
Healy, secona€d-by Me'~r Landoe that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe, and Com-

missioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Application for City Licenses
The applica tions of Joe Toohey for a Oi ty Beer and a Ci ty Lil"'uorLlcense were pre-
sented and read, together with the application of Montgomery-Ward & Company for a City
Business License. It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Mayor Lan(~oe that the
applications be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the fol-
lowing Aye and No vote; those vot:tng Aye being Mayor Landoe and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.
Purchase of Music Boxes for Ska ting Rinks
The Manager read the minutes of the Recreation Board Meeting of December 14th, 1944,
whereby the Board recommended to the Conmlis sion the purchase of too music reproducing
machines or "juke boxes" to provide music at the two skating rinks, with the provision
tha t if there is any excessive ma intenance charges other than caused by ordinary "wear
and tear" the machines be removed from the rinks. After discussion, it was moved by
Commissioner He."'l y, seconded by Mayor Landoe tha t the recommenda tion of the Recrea tion

Board be approved and that the Ci ty Mamlger be authorized to purchase the two machines
at a total cost of not to exceed $300.00, and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.
Cnarge for Fire Runs Outside City Limits
The matter of making a charge for fire runs outside the City Limits was brought
up, and it was decided that a bill for :the acutal cost of such service should be rendered
to the owner of the property where the fire occurred.

R ward for Cutting Tree in Lindley Park
The matter of a blue spruce tree being cut in Lindley Park was brought up for dis-
cussion, and after consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Mayor
Landoe that a reward in the amount of $100 be offered for information leading to the
arrest and convic tion of the person g1Jil ty of this offense, and the motion was carried
by the follow:ing Aye Dnd No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe and ComrnisR ioner
Healy; those votlng No, none.

Airport & Legislative Matters
Dean Chaffin appeared before the Commis sion to report on the ac ti vi ties of the
Airport Board, and to discuss proposed legisla ticm pertaining to the C1 ty wi th the Ci ty
Attorney, the City Manager and members of the City Commission.

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Mayor Landoe tha t the meeting adjourn and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe
and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
