The Commie sion of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commies ion Room,
City Hall Building, Friday eve~tng, July 14th, 1944, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Landoe. Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Busch, City Manager Quin-
nell, Director of Finance Walter Davis, City Engineer Tnorpe, and the Clerk, when the
following proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Healy, seconded by Commiss ioner Busch that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those v oting Aye being Mayor Landoe, Com-
missioner Busch and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Report
The report of the Director of Finance for the month of June, 1944 was presented and
read. It was moved by Commissjoner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the report
be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Busch and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.
Bond -- A E Anderson -- Police Captain
The bond of A. E. Anderson, as Police Captain, in the amourt of $IOOO.OO was presented.
Tt was ~oved by Commissioner BuSCh, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the bond be ac-
cepted and approved subJect to the approval of the City Attorney and the motion was car-
ried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting .riye being Mayor Landoe, Commissioner
Busch and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Misc. W & C 1944
A comnmnication from Mr. H. E. Morris, President of the Amigo Club House Corporation,
was presented and read, stating that sidewalk would be constructed on t heir property lo-
cated on South Sixth, namely Lots 17, 18, 19, and 20; Block 35; Capitol Hill Addition,
as soon as satisfactory arrangements can be made.
Trimming Trees ans Shrubs along Sidewalks
The Manager stated that Ordinance No. 428 provided that any owner or agent of prop-
erty in The City of Bozeman who permitted any tree or shrub to extend over the sidewalk
at a height of less than seven feet is guilty of maintaining a nuisance.
He presented and read a form of notice which will be mailed to persons w~plantings
cio not conform with thi s ordinance, and explained that steps would be taken immedia tely
to enforce the ordinance wherever public safety or convenience makes such action necesary.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner Healy tha t the meeting ad,journ and
the motion was carried by the following AY8 and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Landoe, Commissioner Busch and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
