Action Items 1. 08:14:20 PM (00:03:58) UDC Update & Workshop Memo (Rogers) 08:26:06 PM (00:05:44) Tom Rogers reviewed where physical, bound copies of the UDC working draft are available in addition to the adoption plan/schedule. 08:35:16 PM (00:14:54) Rogers reviewed the project goals, which include: user-friendliness, consistency, clarity, compatibility, flexibility and predictability. 08:40:25 PM (00:20:23) Rogers reviewed some development application examples and how they would compare utilizing the new UDC draft vs. the existing code. 08:53:34 PM (00:33:12) Discussion regarding how comments and feedback from multiple sources will be compiled for the City Commission regarding the UDC Update. Planning Board & Zoning Commission members discussed their process in working through the current draft of the UDC update and how they would offer their feedback. 09:17:13 PM (00:56:51) Commissioner Mehl summarized the Planning Board & Zoning Commission’s tactic for their next meeting. Board members will read Articles 1, 2 & 3 of the UDC draft and come up with examples relevant to these articles to run through the code. Staff will review the goals of the changes and the “knots” that have not been “untied”. There will be a general discussion on flow and workability of the new code. There will also be an overview of significant code changes. F. 09:22:28 PM (01:02:06) FYI/Discussion Board member Happel brought up the fact that in the previous joint meeting (2.21.17) minutes, it was said that acoustic standards in the development code would be hard to regulate. Happel noted that his experience in Chicago had acoustic requirements in their code that were in fact regulated, measureable and enforceable.
