February 25th, 1944
The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, February 25th, 1944, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Healy, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager Quinnell,
City Attorney Aitken, Director of Finance W&ter Davis, and the Clerk, when the following
proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
. Lowe, seconded by Comml~sioner Healy that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe, Com-
missioner Healy and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Applications for City Licenses
The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read:
E. W. Thompson
Bozeman Auto Camp
Laureleaf Service Station
It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the applica-
tions be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner
Lowe; those voting No, none.
Nursery School
The Manager read a telegram advising that the FWA had allotted $2897.00 for the con-
tinued operation of the War-time Child Care Project. The Manager stated this amount would
carry the ~lrsery School through until fall.
Mystic Lake Road
The Manager reported that arrangements had been made with the Forest Service to make
survery and plans, without cost to the City, for the construction of a road to Mystic Lake
and that this would be one of the projects given consideration by the Post-War Planning
Board.
Post-War Planning Board
The Manager reported that the labor unions had not made a deoision in regard to
their representative for the Post-War Planning Board, but that they would meet during
the coming week and select a man to represent labor on the Board. The name to be sub-
mitted at the next meeting of the City Commission
Mayor Landos reported that Mr. Geo. Doering had bsen named as the representative
from the Employer's Association for the Post-War Planning Board.
Appointments -- Cemetery, Recreation and Library Boards.
The Mayor announced the following appointnlents:
Cemetery Board:
Mrs. Amelia Hammer and Miss Elizabeth Bogert for 3-year terms ending Jan. 1, 1947.
Recreation Board:
Mrs. W. F. Cowan for a three-year term ending January I, 1947.
Library Board
Rev. P.H. Pollock and Beatrice F. Davis for two~year terms ending Jan. 1, 1946.
It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the appoint-
men ts be approved and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vo te i tho sa vo ting
Aye being Mayor Landoe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.

Adjournment
There being no ~lrther business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the meeting adjourn and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Landoe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
