The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, Aupust 13th, 1943, at 7:30 o'clock r.M. Those being
present were Mayor Bus ch, Comm1 spioner Sorenson. Commis sion er Landoe, City Attorney Ai tbm,
Ci ty Mannger Quinnell, City Enp:ineer Thorpe, DirAc tor of Finance Wal ter Davis and the
ClArk, when the followln,g proceed1np's were hael to-wit:
The minutes of the last r(,~lJlar session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the minutes be approved as read, and tho
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those votinp; Aye be:1ng Mayor Busc:n.

Ordinance No. 721 -- AppropMa tion Orclinanc 0
The ~anager stated this was the time and place set for the final adoption of the annual
Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1944. He presented the af-
fidavit 'of publication of the Notice and Ordinance No. 721, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE SUPPORT AND MAINTRNANCE, FTC.,
OF THE MUNICIP.AL GOVERNMENT OF TIm CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA FOR THE I"ISCAL

There beln~ no one present to protest and no protests being filed, it was moved by
Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the Ordinance be flnally
passed and adopted ann the motion was Cl'lrried by the following Aye and No vote; those

Reports
The report of the Bui+dinrr Inspe c tar for the mon ths of April, May, ,Tune and ,Tuly ~
and the Director of Finance's report for the month of July were presentP-d and read. It
was 1"'oved by Commissioner Lannoe, seconded by GommIssioner Sorenson that the reports be
accepted and ordered filP-d and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those votin(': Aye being Mayor Busch. Conunis sioner Sorenson and Commissi oner Landoe; those
voting No, none.
Ordinance No. 725 -- Collection of Assessments for Care of Cem~tery Lots
An ordinance providinp: for the collection of assessments for the care of lots in the
Sunset Hills Cemc tery, in C8 ses where there is no Permanen t Care Ap:reement covering such
lots was discussed. Ordinance No. 725, entitled:

Garbage -- Ordinance providing for Ready-to-Serve ChRrge
The Mana~er presented the rough draft of an Ordinance providing for a ready-to-
serve charge for garbage disposal and removal, for inspec tion and the l{eeping of garbage
routes in a clean and sanitary condition, by making an assessment of not to exceed 5~ per

Appointments -- Board of Ad.1ustn:ent
The Mayor annmlnced the following appointments to the Board of Adjustment:
Harry J. Stith to fill the unexpire~ term of Errol Koch, and
C. Lee Donaldson to fill the unexpired term of Mrs. A. Hartman.
It was moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the ap"
pointments be approved ano the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vo te; those
vottng Ays betng Mayor BUSCh, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landos; those voting
No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commis:::don at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson; that the meeting ad.iourn
