November 19th, 1943
The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, November 19th, 1943, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Busch, Commissioner Landoe, Commissioner Sorenson, City Attorney Aitken,
City Manager Quinnell, Director of Finance Walter Davis, City Engineer Thorpe and the
Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved b:r Commies'ioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the minutes be approved as read, and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; thos e vo ting Aye beingMa yor Busch,
Commissioner Landoe and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Application for City License
The application of Louis Klawitter for a one-half year City License was presented
and read. '" It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoethat
the application be approved and the license issued and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson
and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
Airport
Nr. Dean Chaffin, Chairman of the Airport Board, appeared before the Commission to
report on his Board's activities. He stated that from information received, it is the
opinion of the Board that an Administration Building miRht be needed at the Airport in
the near future, and that in order to construct an Administration Building with county
aid, it might be necessary to have joint County-City ownership of the Airport so that the
financing procedure could be simplified and made more satisfactory.
The matter was discussed by the Commission, and Mr. Chaffin was asked to put the
Board's plan for ,joint City-County ownership of the Airport in wri ting to be reviewed
by the City Attorney, and submitted to the Cit~ Commission for further consideration
at some later date. It was pointed out thnt present value of the Airport based on the
cost of the land and improvements owned by the City is approximately $400,000.00, but
this should not be prevent joint ownership.
Mr. Chaffin also reported to the City Commission that the hangar on the Belgrade
Airport had been sold for $115.00, .less three doors complete with installation appliances
and all steel structure.
Report
The report of the Health Officer for the month of October was presented and read.
It was moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the report
be accepted and ordered filed and the mo tion was carried b-- the following Aye and No
vote; those votinp: Aye being Ma yor Busch, Commie 81 onsr Sorenson and Com,missioner Landoe;
those voting No, none.
Resignation -- Library Board
The resignation of Mrs. A. D. Brewer as a member of the Library Board was presented
and read. The matter of an appointment to fill the vacancy was postponed until a later
meeting.

'There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissionc,r Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the meeting adjourn
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being mayor
Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
