The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in reS::!'lllar session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, December 3rd, 1943, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Busch, Commissioner Landoe, Commissioner uorenson, City Attorney
Aitken, City Manager Quinnell, Director of Finance Walter Davis, Commissioner-elect Lowe,
and the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
The minu tea of the las t regular session were read. and it was moved by Commies ioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the minutesbe approved as read, and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those vo ting Aye beingO::rt~m' Landoe,
Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Bills for the Month
Claims Nos. 5631 to 5750 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows:

The Manager stated he has audi ted these claims and finds them to be true and lawful
claims against The City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their payment.
After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commission, it was moved by Com-
missioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that warrants be drawn for their pay-
ment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being
Commissioner Landoe and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Nursery School claims Nos. 22 to 34 inclusive in the amount of $614.00 were presented.
AftAr examine tion of these clalms in detail by the Commis sion, it was moved by Commis sioner
Sorenson, seconded by CommissionAr Landoe that the Nursery School claims be approved and
paid, and the motion was carried by the following ii.ye and No vote; those voting Aye being
Commissioner Landoe and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.

It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by.Commissioner Landoe that the
above list of tax abatements be allowed and the Director of Finance be instructed to
make the proper notations on the tax records and the motion was carried by the follow-
ing Aye and'No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor &lsch, Commissroner Sorenson and
Commie sioner Bandoe; the se vo tinF; No, none.
Armory -- Use of Drill Hall
The Manager stated that The Keyes of Gallatin County High School had made request
for use of the Drill Hall for a dancing party, Friday evening, December 17th, after the

S.D.A. lecturers had closed their services. Approval was expressed by the Commission.
Post-War Planning Bosrd
Communica tions were read s ta ting tha t the following had been nomina ted as members

Airport -- Joint Ownership
A proposed resolution rela tive to the joint-ownership of Gallatin Field by the 0i ty
and County was presented and read. After discussion the resolution was referred to the
City Attorney to be put in proper legal form.
Blowing of Fire Siren
Commissioner Landoe stated that a request had been made to blow the fire siren at
6:30 o'clock each morning since the college whistle is not blown at this hour as long as
formerly. It was explained that owing to the scarcity of new alarm clocks and the diffi-
culty of getting repairs for the old ones many people were finding it hard to awaken in
time for worl{.
It was decided to discuss the matter with the Fire Chief before a decision is reached.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commiflsioner Sorenson that the meetlng adjourn
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being mayor
