The Commbsion of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in theComm1ssion Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday afternoon, August 16, 1960, at 1100 otelock P. M. Those being present were Mayor
Lowe, Commissioner Secor, Commissioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the
Clerk when the following prooeedings were hada
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded

by Commissioner Secor, that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the following

voting No, none.
Bids for Dump Truok
The Manager stated that tabulation of bids reoeived August 9, 1950 for a two-ton dump truok shows
the bid of the W. D. Breok Motor Sales Co., Inc. to be the lowest and best bid, that the truok bid on
meets the speoifioations, and he reoommended that this bid be aocepted. It was thereupon, moved by
Commissioner Healy, seoonded by Commissioner Secor, that the bid of the W. D. Breok Motor Sales Co.,
Inc., in the amount of $2,661.24 net oost, be aooepted, and the motion was oarried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Kayor Lowe, Commissioner Seoor and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.
Ordinance No. 764 .. Final Passage
The Manager stated this was the time and place set for the final passage of 'the Appropriation
Ordinanoe for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1951. He presented the affidavits of publication of
Ordinanoe, and stated that no one was present to protest and no protests have been filed. Ordinance

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES "FOR EXPENDITURES DEEMED NECESSAllY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH
BUDGETORY REQUIREMEN'IS FOR MAINTENANCE ETC. , OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF
BOZ!XAN, MONTANA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1961.
It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seoonded by Commissioner Secor, that the Ordinance be finally
passed and adopted and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No Totel those Toting Aye
being Mayor Lawe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Annual Audit Report
The report of the Douglas Wl11aon,Ferria Company of the annual audit for the year ending Jwe
30th, 1950 was presented. Copies of the report were given to the Commission for study and apliroval and
acceptanoe at a later date.
Gas Fitter's Bond .- Continuation Certifioate
The oontinuation certifioate of the gas fitter's bond of the Oliver Stout Hardware Company in the
amount of $2,000.00 was presented. The certifioate was approved as to form by the City Attorney,
whereupon, it was moved by Commissioner Secor, seoonded by Commissioner Healy, that the certificate be
approved and aooepted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commi8sioner Healy; those voting No, none.

Request of Earl G. Smiley for Relief from Duties on Police Department
The request of Earl G. Smiley for rel ief from duty as a member of the Police Department to enter
the military service was presented for the information of the Commission. The letter requested that
all rights for retirement and re-employment at the end of his military duty be protected. City Attorney
Lovelace was instruoted to check into law regarding employees entering the military servioe at this
time .
Conneotion of Car Wash Racks to Sanitary Sewer
The matter of permitting oar wash racks to be connected to the sanitary sewer in looations where

no storm sewer is available was opened tor disoussion. Section 4. Artiole XIII of Ordinance No. 679,
stating that wash racks may be conneoted with the stom sewer system but not with the sanitary sewer
system, was read, and it was oonsidered inadvisable to amend the ordinanoe at this time.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No votea those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor, and Commls-
