Resolution No. 699 -- Extending City Limits
A resolution stating it to be the intention of the City Commission to extend the city limits to
include a tract of land to be known as Langohr's First Addition ad:joininc the southeast rart 01' the

and adoI,ted and December 20th, 1950 be set a.s the da.te for hear in!":: protests, and the motion wes carried

Payment of gO-day Reserve -- S. 1. D. 355, 354, 353, 351, 349
Claims Nos. 9981 to 9985 incl-usive for the payment of the 90-day reserve held for the construction
of Sredel Improvement Districts Nos. 349, 351, 353, 354, and 355 to the Ble.cktop Construction Coml-any
in the total amount of $13,999.90 were f>resented. Mr. R. J. Studer was present to discuss these cle,ims.
There wes some discussion as to a date of final completion of the work in each of these districts.
Srecifications in each district rrovide that a 10% reserve may be held for 90 days after the date of
final completion but it was pointed out that nothing can be Gained by holding uF these payments and it
wO.s therefore moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, the t the provi s ion in the
contrects on each of the above districts relative to holding 10% of the fayment in reserve for 90 days
be waived, that the above claims be anroved and that warrants be drawn for their payment and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye beinG Mayor Lowe, Commissioner
Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Urging Addition of Fluorine to Water Supply
A commurication from the American Legion Auxiliary urging; the city to add fluorine to the water
supply was presented and read.

aside the Saturday before Memorial Day as the day for the annual sale of veteran-made foppies by
their organization was I,resented and read. The matter was discussed~ and it was thought that this
c'ommission could not bind any future City Commission in a matter of this kind. Whereupon, it was
moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, that Saturday~ May 26th, 1951~ be set
aside for the sale of American Legion poppies, and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No
vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Right-of-.W"ay Easement for Montana Power Co. -- S. D. S. Plant
A right-of-way easement to tb.e Montana F'ower Company to lay a gas line~ and insh,ll valve boxes on
property at the Sewag;e f'lant was presented. The easement was examined by the City Attorney, whereuron,
it was moved by Commissioner Healy~ seconded by Commissioner Secor, that the Mayor and the Clerk of the
City Commission be authorized to sign the easement for The City of Bozeman, and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Co:nmissioner Secor and Commissioner
Healy; those voting No, none.
Lease -- Legion Housing Project
A lease from the City of Bozeman to the Gallatin Post No. 14~ American Legion, covering ground in
Block 37, Imas Addition, now being occupied by the Legion Housing Froject was presented. This lease is
for a term of three years from November 1st, 1950, is in accordance with terms previously agreed upon,
and has been approved by the City Attorney. It was moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commiss ioner
Healy ~ that the lease be aocepted and aPIroved and that the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to sign
the same for the City of Bozeman, and the motion was carried by the followinE Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Addition to Pent House -- Bozeman Hotel
A verbal request from Dr. R. Bayles to make an addition of one room to the present Fent House at the
Bozeman Hotel was presented. The addition to be of the same material as the IJresent fent Hou~e. After
discussion, it Was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Corrunissioner Secor, that the City Building
Inspector be authorized to issue a permit for the construction of an additional room as requested, and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner
Secor and Conunissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Conunission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Secor, that the :~leetinL adjourn and the motion wa.s carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Corr~issioner Secor and COlf~issioner
Healy; those votint; No, none.
