HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-11-13 468 Bozeman, Montana December 13, 1960 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, December 13, 1950 at 1:00 o'clook F. M. Those being present were Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor, Commissioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had: The minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Secor, that the minutes be approved as read. and the motion was carried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Claim for S. I. D. No. 356 Claim No. 116 of the Standard Construction in the amount of $794.09 for the 9O-day reserve held for the construction of Special Improvement District No. 356 was presented. After examination of the claim by the City Commission it was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconded by Commissioner Secor, that the claim be approved and a warrant drawn for its payment, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Request for Salary Increase Department heads of various city departments appeared before the Commission to discuss possible inoreases in salaries to meet the rising cost of living. Those present were informed there is no money available during the present year to make an over-all increase for city employees. The City Commission also informed them that they will look with favor upon an increase in salary at the beginning of the next fisoal year, or any time sooner if additional revenue is made available to meet the increased cost. Reports The following reports for November, 1950 were presented: Engineer Cemetery Board Sewage Plant Operator It was moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, that the reports be accepted and ordered filed, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Secor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Use of Ditch Digger by State Highway The Manager reported the State Highway Commission has made a request to use the city ditoher for a storm sewer trench. After consideration, and because of use of State Highway Commission equipment by the City, the City Manager was authorized to permit the State Highway Commission to use the City ditcher on a oost basis to dig the storm sewer trench. Adjournment Thera being no further business to oome before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, that the meeting adjourn and the motion ~s carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Seoor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
