Bozeman, Montana April 5, 1950 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, April 5, 1950 at 1:00 0' clook F. M. Those being present wer.e Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Healy. Commissioner Secor, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace, and the I Clerk when the following prooeedings were had: 1'he minutes 0 f the last regular session held March 29. 1950 were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconded by Commissioner Seoor. that the minutes be arproved as read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Seoor; those voting No. none. Claims for the Month Claims Nos. 8142 to 8335 inolusive were Fresented on the various funds as follows: Band Cemetery Cemetery Suspense Garbage General Library Park Parking Meter Folice Reserve W-H Tax SDS Revenue Water $ 517.30 610.70 190.00 1,330.62 14,360.99 1,029.35 938.52 6,905.32 86.15 948.70 783.60 8,096.39 Total $35,797.64 The Manager stated that he has audited these olaims end finds them to be true and lawful claims against The City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their payment. After examination I of the claims in detail by the City Commission, it was moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, tha.t the claill15 be approved and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Secor; those voting No, none. Right-of-Way Easement -- Sewage Plant A right-of-way easement permitting the Montana Power Company to oonstruct and maintain an electric transmission system to the Sewage Disposal Plant was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Healy, Fire Chief Police Chief Librarian Sanitary Inspeotor seconded by Commissioner Secor# that the right-of-way easement be granted, and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to sign the easement for The City of Bozeman and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Seoor; those voting No, none. Request for Salary Increase A written request signed by the members of the Fire Department asking for salary increase for the next fiscal year was presented and read. The Manager stated that a meeting would be held at whioh time the members of the Fire and Police Department would be invited to disouss salaries for the coming year. I Reports The fbllowing reports for the month of March, 1950 were presented; It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seoonded by Comndssioner Secor, that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Secor; those voting No, none. Delegates to Water & Sewer Meetings The Manager announced that the Montana Section of the American Water Works Association and the The Manager announced that a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Montana Municipal League I 372 Montana Sewage Works Operators would meet in Missoula next week. It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Secor, that it being in the public interest that City Manager Henderson, Water Superintendent Border and Doug Anderson, Sewage Flant Operator, be authorized to attend this meeting and their expenses be paid from the Water :F'und, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Seoor; those voting No, none. Executive Meeting of Munioipal League would meet in Bozeman Saturday, April 8th, and urged the members of the Commission to attend. Flans for Summer Work City Manager Henderson reviewed plans for summer work in the Street Department and in the Water Depa rtment. Adjournment There being no further business to oome before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy, that the meeting; adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Healy and Commissioner Secor; those voting No, none.
