The Conunission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Build..
ing, Wednesday afternoon, May 31st, 1950, at ItOO o'olock P.M. Those being present were Mayor Lowe, Com-
missioner Secor, Commissioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk when
the following prooeedings were hadt
The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seoonded
by Commissioner Seoor that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was oarried by the following
Aye and No vote; those voting aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Seoor and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.

It was moved by Comm.issioner Secor, seoonded by Commiss ioner Healy that the reports beaooepted and
ordered filed and the motion was carried by the follawingJye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Lowe, Commissioner Seoor and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Ambulance Servioe
The Manager stated the Board of County Commissioners has presented him with a oopy of an opinion
of the County Attorney relative to the County of Gallatin appropriating money for operation and mainte..
nanoe of an ambulanoe.
After discussion and oonsideration of the City's participation in such a program, it was decided
that a definite proposal should be presented by the Elks Lodge as to what is expeoted to be done by the
Lodge, by the City of Bozeman and by County of Gallatin on owning, operating, and maintaining an ambu-
lance and that aotion in the matter be deferred until suoh a proposal is reoeived.
Request to Use SDS Plant by Canning Company
Mr. Roy Spain, Production Manager of the Bozeman Camling Company, was present and presented a
written request for the Bozeman Canning Company to use the City's sewage Disposal system for the season
of 1950. He stated the plant has been leased for one year, and that it would now be impractioal to con-
struct a lagoon for their sewage for one season, and that, if the plant is oontinued in use after the
1950 season, a lagooning system will be oonstructed through whioh the Cannl,ng Company will handle its
own waste disposal.
After detailed disoussion, it was deoided that the proposal must be taken up with the State Board
of Health and Burns & MoDonnell Engineering Company for their opinion before a definite reply oan be
given to the request of the Bozeman Canning Company. The City Manager was instruoted to take suoh aotion
wi thout delay.

missioner Secor, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor L,owe, Commissioner Seoor and Commis..
