M. Those being present were Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, Comndssioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace, Commissioner-Elect Wal ter A. Secor, and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had; I The minutes of the last regular session were read~ and it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting ~e being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Comndssioner Healy; those voting No, none. Appointment of Mrs. H. C. Gossack to Recreation Board Mayor Sorenson announced the appointment of Mrs. Henry C. Gossack as a member of the Board of Recreation to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of' Mrs. Jesse Bradley and for a three year term commencing January 1, 1950. It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the appointment be approved and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Claims for the Month Claim Nos. 7237 to 7497 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows: Band . 12.00 Cemetery 673.87 Cemetery Suspense 325.00 Garbage 1,786.29 Gene ra1 26,652.93 Library 957.91 Fark 1,131.23 Parking Meter 940.70 I Police Reserve 86.15 S. D. 3,007.73 W-H Tax 913.40 SDS Construction 1,466.83 SDSRevenue 441.67 Water 6,676.91 Total - - - $43,971.52 The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims against The City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their payment. After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commission, it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the claims be approved and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports for the month of November, 1949 were presented: Fire Chief Recreational Director Sanitary Inspector Cashier Flumbing Inspector Building Inspector Water Collector It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by CO~Ai8sioner Lowe, that the reports be accepted and I ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting ~e being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Application for City License The application of Howard Love f~r a City License was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the application be approved and the license issued and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Resolution No. 667 - Certi~ing Delinquent Taxes The Manager stated that the Resolution certifying the delinquent special assessments for the year 332 1949 to the County Treasurer has been prepared. He presented Resolution No. 667, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY 01" BOZEMAN DECLARING CERTAIN SPECIAL .ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30TH, 1949, AND UNPAID AS OF '!HAT DATE, AND CERTAIN OTHER SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE .AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30TH, 1949, AND UNPAID, DELINQUENT, AS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 594, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF TAXES xx xx xx, AND THE COLLECTION OF' SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, xx xxx" AND SECTION 5251, POLITICAL CODE, R. C. :M., 1935. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy, that the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor I Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Letts 2 21 West Side 8.00 Garbage Total #130.28 I, It was moved by Commdssioner Lowe, seconded ~ Commdssioner Healy, that the above applications for abatements in the amount of $130.28, be approved and the Director of Finanoe be instruoted to enter the abatements on the tax rolls and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Furohase of Cast Iron Pipe The Manager reported that in order to install a water mAin from Buttonwood Avenue east to the Bozeman Country Club, it will be necessary to purchase 700 ft. of 4-inChClJl.st iron pipe. The Commission on November 30, 1949 apfroved the installation of this water main by the City Water Depart- ment, subject to the cost thereof being paid by abutting property owners. Bozeman Lodge No. 463, B. P. o. E. and Dr. R. A. Williams having filed written agreement to pay the cost of this main, it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the City Manager be authorized to purcha.se the pipe required for its installation and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Federal Aid for Airport Mr. Chas. S. King, of the CAA, was present and presented oopies of an application for federal aid I for the development of the Gallatin Field. The applications were approved as to form by the City Attorney, whereupon, it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the Mayor be authorized to sign the applications for the City of Bozeman, and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commlsflioner Healy; those voting No, none. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Comndssion at this time, it was moved by 338 Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commi sioner Healy, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote& OBe voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, one.
