The Commission of' The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Buildini"" Wednesday afternoon, Merch 16th. 1949 at 1:00 o'clock f. M. Those being fresent were
Mayor Sorenson, Conrrnissioner Lowe. Corrunissioner Heely. City Manager Henderson. City Attorney
Lovelace and the Clerk. when the following proceedinGs were had:
I The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Healy.
seconded. by Mayor Sorenson that the minutes be an,roved as read. and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those votinc Aye beinc Mayor Sorenson and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.
City folicy -- Re: ~nergency Medical Treatment
The Manager s tilted that some policy ret;ardin;; the payment of emerGency medi eel treat;ment should
be adorted by The City of Bozeman and recommended the fOllowinL policy:
In any cese of emergency, where the services of a physician are required, police officers
or otller official s of The City of Bozeman are authorized and ins tructed to c all any d'x: tor
available in Bozeman to cive emergency treatment and the Ci ty assumes responsibility for
r,ayment for such servic9s if the person treated does not or CDrlLot rRY for them. Treat-
ment for other than emergency medical services is not cons idered a responsibility of 'Ehe

It was moved by Commiss ioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the above policy be
adoIJted, and the Gallatin County Medical Society be so notified. and tile motion was carried by the

The City MAnager reported on a meeting called by the Recre8tion Conmti ttee of the Chamber of
Commerce at which time representatives of service clubs discussed the matter of raisin€:, money for
