We are one of three major cities in MT that allow fireworks in the city limits and one of two that allow them past
10 pm. The rest do not allow fireworks at all as is the case in multiple US cities. Firecrackers do nothing but disturb
the peace and disrupt normal sleeping hours. They startle humans and pets. They should be banned in Bozeman.
Every year I have to leave on the 4th to get away from the war zone. I really need to be gone the 3rd through the
5th if I want to get normal peace and sleep. Certain types of firecrackers are banned but not enforced by law
enforcement. Even dispatch is clueless and thinks they are all legal. Please stop allowing the sale of them. A small
few seem to get thrills from the bomb while the rest of us stay up all night cringing.
