The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room. City Hall
Building. Wednesday afternoon. December 8th. 1948. at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Those present were Mayor
Sorenson. Commissioner Lowe. Commissioner Healy. City Manager Henderson. City Attorney Lovelace and
the Cle rk. when the following proceedings were had:
I The minutes of the last regular session were read. and it was moved by Commissioner Healy,
seconded by Mayor Sorenson that the minutes be approved as read. and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson and Commissioner Healy; those voting
No, none. (Commissioner Lowe was not present when minutes were read and approved but entered later)
Sale of S. I. D. No. 345 Bonds
The Manager stated that this is the time and pla ce set for receiving bids on bonds of Special
Improvement District No. 345 in the approximate mnount of $2.400.00. He presented the affidavit of
publication of the notice to bidders. No written bids having been received. it was announced that the
Commission would receive oral bids. Mr. Herbert Howell and Mr. Homer Dunbar were present and stated
that they were prepared to bid. Mr. Howell made a verbal offer to purchase the bonds at par with
interest at 6% per annum. Mr. Dunbar then stated that he ha.d no further bid to offer whereupon it was
moved by Commissioner Lowe. seconded by Commissioner Healy that the bid of Herbert Howell be accepted
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson.
Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No. none.

It was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the above abatements in
the amount of $263.19. be approved and the Director of Finance be authorized to make the proper
entries on the tax records and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Conunissioner Healy; those voting No. none.

The Manager stated that he has a.udi ted these claims and finds them to be true and le. wful
claims against the City of Bozeman. After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commis-
sion. it was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the claims be approved
and warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote.

Resolution No. 636 - Delinquent Taxes
The Manager stated that the resolution certifying to the County Clerk & Recorder and County
Treasurer the delinquent City of Bozeman special taxes in the amount of $7.7l4.76 has been prepared. I
He presented Resolution No. 636. entitled.

It was moved by Commissioner Healy. seconded by Commissio~er Lowe that the resolution be passed
and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Mayor Sorenson. Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No. none.
Reports.
The following reports for the month of November, 1948 were presented:

and the Engineer's report for the month of October, 1948.

and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye

Meeting of Executive Committee of MuniciFal League
The Manager stated that the Executive Committee of the Montana Municipal League is to meet in I
Helena. Saturday. December 11th. 1948. to discuss legislative matters concerning cities and towns.
The Manager was instructed to attend this meeting.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time. it was moved by
Commissioner Lowe. seconded by Commissioner Healy that the meeting adjourn and the motion was
