The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission hoom,
City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, June 16th, 1948, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Thos e be ing
present were Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Healy, City Attorney Lovelace,
City Manager Henderson and the Clerk, when the followinp proceedings were bad to.wit:

The following roports for the month of May, 1948 were presented:
Director of Finance Engineer Sani tary Inspe c tor
It was moved by Commis sioner Heal y, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the reports
be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting n.ye beIng Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissione r Heal y; those
vo ting tTo, none.
Bids for Library Roof
The Manager presented plans, specifications and proposal blanks for a new roof on the
LibrRry Building, as prepared by Fred Willson, R rchi tec t. He stated that because of the
roof needing repair every year that he would recommend the installation ofa new roof.
After consideration. it was ~oved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that I
the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to advertise for bids for a new roof for th e
Library Building and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; tho se voting
Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting ND, none.
Applic8tions for City Licenses
The following applications for City Licenses were presented:
Cass Wattress Co. Spady &: Stanley
It was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the applications
be Rpproved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the fo llowing Aye and No
vote; those voting Aye being Nayor Sorenson, Commissioner Healy and Comm:issioner Lowe; those
vo ting No, none.
Meeting of Municipal League
The Manager reported that he would be attending the meeting of the Montana Municipal
League, ,Tune 21 and 22, whi ch is being held in Kalispell and would not be present for the
nex t regular Commis s ion mee tin@;.
Sewer Control ~tation -- Brick & Tile
Mr. Fred Quinnell, Resident Engineer, reported on the progress of the sewage trea tmen t

pIa n t . The matter of the constructing of the control ststion walls was discussed, and the
Commi s si on decided tha t the Control Station walls should be built with 8" ho 11 ow ti tIe and
faced with brick, whereupon, it was moved by Commissiomsr Lowe, seconded by Commissioner
Sorenson tha t the Resident Engineer, Fred Quinnell, be ins truc ted to is sue a change order
to the Contractor ordering the Control Station walls constructed with 8" hollow ti tIe and
faced wi th 4" brick, and the motion was carried by the following ~~ye and No vote; t hos e
voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, CommisE'ioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; thos e vo t1 ng No,
none.

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this tiJ'!1e, it was
moved by Comissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the meeting adjourn and the
motion was carried bJT the fo llowing Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson,
Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
