HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-01-07 72 Bozeman, Montana January 7th, 1948 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, January 7th, 1948, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Those being present were Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, COmnlissioner Healy, City Manager Henderson, and the Acting Clerk when the following proceedings were had: The minutes of the last re~llar session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner I Healy, seconded by Mayor Sorenson that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commiss- ioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Applications for City Licenses The following applications for City Licenses were presented: Beer and Liquor: Alice Toohey American Legion Post #14 E. McKnight E.B. Griffin Robin McNab V.F.W. Baguhn It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the applic- ations be approved and the licenses issued, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commiss- ioner Healy; those voting No, none. - Yembership in Vontana Sewage Works Association The City Manager presented an application for membership for the City of Bozeman in the Montana Sewage Works Association and stated the benefits to be derived therefrom, and it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Mayor Sorenson that corporate membership in the above mentioned Association be taken out, and the annual charges paid, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Corrrrnissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. I Claims for the Month Claims No's 2267 to 2468 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows: 73 Band $ 1024.88 Cemetery 512.15 FWA 24-P-56 877.39 Garbage 1353.52 General 11692.98 Library 751.50 Park 2303.43 Parking Meter 399.50 I Police Reserve 86.15 Water 2995.16 Withholding Tax 1155.00 Total 23151.66 The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims against the City of Bozeman, and recommended that warrants be drawn for their payment. After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commission, it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the claims be approved and warrants drawn for their payment, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports for the month of December, 1947, were presented and read: Sanitary Inspector Fire Chief Librarian Chief of Police Police Judge Annual Report Parking Meter Inspector Annual Report Director of Finance Report for October, 1947 It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No I vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by COn1missioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the meeting adjourn, ~nd the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
