The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, March 3rd, 1948 , at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Those
being present were Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Healy, Ci ty Manager
Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace, and the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had:

I The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Healy, ~econded by Commissioner Lowe that the minutes be approved as read, and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those vot1ng Aye being Mayor Sorenson,
Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
Bids for Motor Grader
The Yanager stated that this was the ti~e and place set for ~he opening of bids
for a motor grader. He presented the affidavit of publication of the Notice to Bidders,
whereupon, it was moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the
bids be opened and read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.

I Representative of each bidder was given an opportunity to explain the equipment
bid on, and the bids were taken under advisement pending tabulation and further study.
Offer to Purchase Site for Water=shed Patrolman
Mr. Murray Nash was present and was informed that the City Commissioners and the
C"ty Manager had inspected property which he offered to sell the City, and the City of
Bozeman would offer ~;3, 500.00 for the land and the buildings. Mr. Nash stated that he
would study this offer and report a decision in a few days.
Approval of Sewer Rn tes by Public Service Cor mis s ton
The City Manager reported that he had received approval of the sewer rental rates
by the Public Service Commission.
BuildJng North Seventh - Kololwtrones
A cormmmica tion from Mr. Fred Brown, resident engineer for the State Highway, was
read, stating the State Highway COn1n1ission would approve the moving of the building at
305 North Seventh on the untravelled portion of Highway No. 10, during cons truc tion period,
provided The City of Bozeman will assume full responsibility, whereupon, it was moved b:v
Co~missioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the request of Mr. James Koloko-
I trones, as presented at the last meeting be denied and the motion was carried by the fol-
lowing Aye and No votej those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Healy and
Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.

Claims Nos. 2673 to 2859A inclusive were presented on the various fUnds as follows:

The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and
lawful claims against The City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their
pa yment. After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commission, it was moved
by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the claims be approved and
warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; I
those voting No, none.
Reports
The following renorts for the month of February, 1948 were presented:
Police Chief Cashier Fire Chief Sanitary Inspector
Police .Tudge Librarian Water Collector Employmen t Office
and the Ci ty-County Heal th Unit annual report for the year 1947.
It was moved by Commis sioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the reports
be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those
voting No, none.
Applications for City Licenses .
The following applications for City Licenses were presented and read:

Modern Cleaners Cutting's Newsstand Vogel's Standard Service
Greyhound Grill SHE Appliance store Schoonover Texaco Service
Russell Theatres
It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Healy that the applica-
tions be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following I
Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner
Healy; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Healy, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson the t the meeting adjourn
and the motion was c8rried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being
Mayor Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe and Commissioner Healy; those voting No, none.
