Dear Commissioner Mehl,
I live in my own home at 9th and Curtiss (14 years), I am a teacher (25 years) and a parent of a young
boy (10 years).
I do not have a short‐term rental, but I fully support short‐term rentals in Bozeman and especially in
downtown Bozeman/Bozeman's core.
I am surrounded by long‐term rentals and one AWESOME SHORT TERM RENTAL. I have seen many
positive effects of having a short‐term rental in my neighborhood.
Short‐term rentals:
Are better cared for than long‐term rentals (competition) Reduce the number of parties and calls to the
police (trust me, I'm a caller) Bozeman core renters can walk to downtown restaurants, bars, MSU
football games, etc. (reduced traffic, drunken walking and driving) Short‐term rentals are an amenity
and increase overall economy It is FUN to meet these renters and give them advise about fun things to
do in Bozeman When I travel, I only look for rentals close to amenities and Bozeman's core is most
attractive to renters
Please support short‐term rentals in Bozeman AND support short‐term rentals in DOWNTOWN
BOZEMAN/BOZEMAN CORE.
Thank you,
Shae Thompson
