The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Wednesday afternoon, December 3rd, 1947, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Those
being present were Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Lowe, City Manager
Henderson, and the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
I The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commis-
sioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.
Report Traffic School
Police Captain Vernon Saunders was present and reported on the traffic school which
he attended in Billings as a representa ti ve of the local Police Departmen t.
Appointment of Police Commission
Ci ty Manager Henderson announced the following appoin tments as members of the Polic e
Commission:
Henry Ga y for a term to expire May 1, 1949
Don Cobb for a term to expire May 1, 1950
Edwin C. Stephenson for a term to expire May 1, 1951
It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the appoint-
ments be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting
Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe; those vo ting No, non e .
Rate of Pay for Members of Police Commission
I The rate of pay for the members of the Police Commission was discussed, and it was
moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the rate of pay for the
members of the Police Commission be set as $4.00 per day, and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and
Commissioner Lowe; those voting No, none.

The Manager stated that he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and
lawful claims against The Ci ty of Bozeman and recommended that warrants be drawn for their

payment. After examination of the claims in detail by the City Commissioners, it was moved
by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Lowe that the clalms be approved and
warrants drawn for their payment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Healy, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lowe;
those vo ting No, none.

It was moved by Commisfdoner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson tha t the above-
listed applications for tax abatements for 1947 be approved and the Director of Finance
be authorized to make the proper entries on the city records, and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being ~,~ayor Healy, Commissioner Lowe
and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
1- Resolution No. 617 -- Certifying Delinauent Taxes
The Manager stated that the resolution certifying the delinquent taxes for the year
1947 to the County Treasurer and the County Clerk & Recorder had been prepared. He pre-
sented a list of the delinquent taxes, and Resolution No. 617, en ti tIed:
