Wednesday afternoon, March 16. 1955 at 1:00 o'clock F. M. Present were Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson. City Manager Henderson, City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk, when the following; proceedings were hadl I Minutes of the last session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the minutes be ap~roved as read, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports for the month of February. 1955 were presented: Cashier Cemetery Board It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson. that the reForts be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin. Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none. Charge for Fire Call The Fire Department made a call to the Roy Walton property on Durston Road, outside the City Limits, on the night of March 12th. 1955. The City Conuniss ion directed that the usual charge for fire calls outside the city limits should be made. Petition for S~ecial Improvement District -- North Willson A peti tion representing approximately 60r~ of the front footage in a proposed paving district on I North Willson Avenue from Villard to Cottonwood Street was presented. The City Attorney was instructed to prepare a resolution of intention to create the district. Resolution No. 786 -- Intention to Create S. I. D. No. 381 The Resolution of Intention to create Special Improvement District No. 381. paving on North Willson Avenue from Villard Street to Cottonwood Street was presented. entitled: A RESOLU1'ION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF' BOZEMAN TO CREATE A SPECIAL IMFROVEMENT DISTRICT 1'0 BE KNOV'iN AS SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 381 OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN FOR THE PURPOSE OF' CONSTRUCTING AND INSTALLING A PAVEMENT PROJECT ON NORTH WILLSON AVENUE FROM VILLARD STREET TO COTTONWOOD STREET. SAID PAVEMENT PROJECT TO INCLUDE THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF CONCRETE CURBS. CRUSHED GRAVEL BASE, CRUSHED GRAVEL CUSHION COURSE. BITUMINOUS SURFACE COURSE, AND OTHER WORK INCIDENTAL THERETO. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson, that the Resolution be passed and adopted and April 6th. 1955 be set as the date for public hearing, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No. none. Listing of Part of Block 20, Butte Addition, with Real tors " 'l'he City of Bozeman owns a portion of Lots 1 to 12 in Block 20. Butte Addition which was purchased with funds in the Special Improvement Dis trict Revol vine; tund at a tax sale. The I Commission approved the listing of this for sale for the amount of the purchase price. Airport - Investigation of Transferring Service to West Coast Air Lines A proposal for investigation by the Civil Aeronautics Authority of transfer to West Coast Air Lines the service now offered by Northwest Air Lines in Montana was presented. The Manager was instructed to turn the proposal over to the Airport Board. Meeting of Sewage Association and Montana Seotion of A. W. W. A. The Montana Sewage & Industrial Wastes Association and the Montana Section of the A. W. W. A. will hold their annual meeting in Butte on April 28th to 30th, 1955. It was moved by Commissioner 4.82 Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Erwin. that the Sewage Plant Operator, Water Superintendent and the City Engineer Or his Assistant be authorized to attend these meetings and their exp8nses be paid from the Water and S. D. S. Revenue Funds, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin. Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none. Bids on Jeep - Street Department This was the time and place set for the opening; of bids on a "Jeep" for use in the Street Depart- I mente The affidavit of Publication of the Notice was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Swanson. that the bids be opened and read, and the motion was carried by the following; Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe. Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No, none. The following bids were opened and read: Border Motor Sales - Willys - 1955 Model CJ3B - - - - - $2.287.25 Border Motor Sales - Willys - 1955 Model CJ5 - - - - - $2,340.31 It was moved by Commissioner Swanson. seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the bids be referred to the City Manag;er for investigation and reFort at the next meeting and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, Commissioner Swanson; those voting No. none. Building fOr Co-operative Creamery on North Seventh Avenue Members of the Board of Directors of the Gallatin Co-operative Creamery were present to ask questions and discuss problems relative to their proposed new building for creamerJ operations to be located on North Seventh Avenue in Block 3, Durston's Second Subdivision. Matters regarding zoning;. and Fossibility of the closing of the alley for this building were discussed. I The gentlemen were informed that the proposed building for a creamery for the employm~nt of more than eight persons was not an allowable use in this district. and it was suggested that application for a building permit be applied for. and a request for a hearing before the Board of Adjustment be made. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Erwin. seconded by Commissioner Swanson. that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye beinc Mayor Lowe.
