Wednesday afternoon, Janua~ 14, 1953 at 1;00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Seoor. Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, City Manager Henderson. City Attorney Lovelace and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had: I .Minutes of the ]a st regular se8sion were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the minutes be approved as read. and the motion was oarried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote: those voting A1e being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none. CIa 1mB Claims Nos. 6603 to 5605 were presented on the various funds as follows: P. L. & P. Fund S. D. S. ltevenue . 49.25 526.91 The Manager stated the claims were subject to a cash discount and were true and lawful olaims against the City of Bozeman. After examination of the claims by the City Commission. it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lawe, that the claims be approved and the lioenses issued. and the motion was oarried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Seoor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none. Cancellation of Gravel Pit Lease The Manager stated that Mr. W. A. Beok has requested a oancellation of the gravel pit lease assigned to him. A lease cancellation prepared by the City Attorney was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Irwin, that the Mayor and the Clerk be authorhed to sign I the lease oancellation for the City of Bozeman, and the motion wu carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No. none. Bond of Fire Chief The bond of John MoCr0880n as Fire Chief in the amount of $1.000.00 ~s -presented. The bond was approved as to for.m by the City Attorney. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded by Commissioner Lowe. that the bond be approved and accepted and the bond replaoed by the new bond be canoelled. and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Seoor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports fbr the month of Deoember. 1952 were presentedl Sanitary Inspeotor Chief of Poli oe and the annual report of the Chief of Police. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following ~e and No votel those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No. none. I Investment of Cemetery Permanent Care Funds The Manager reported there is '11,000.00 of Cemetery Permanent Care Funds available for investment. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Irwin, that the Director of Finance be authorized to purohase U. S. Government Series K bonds for this investment, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No Tote; those voting Aye being Mayor Seoor. Commissioner Lowe. Commissioner Erwin; those voting No. none. Application for Beer & Liquor License The following applications for beer and liquor license were presented; (see next page) 202 Bozeman Hotel Elks Lodge Eagles Lodge end the applioation of the Parkway Grocery for a beer license was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Erwin. seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the applications be those voting Aye being :Mayor Seoor. Commissioner Lowe. Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none. I approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: Specifications for Traffic Lights Speoifioations for traffic 1 ights on Main Street were presented to the City Commission for examination and stuqy.
