The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday afternoon, March 25, 1953 at 1:00 o'clock P. M. Present were Mayor Secor,
Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin, City Manager Henderson and the Clerk when the following
proceedings were had:

Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner Erwin, seconded
by Commissioner Lowe, that the minutes be approved as read, and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner
Erwin; those voting No, none.
Carnival License for Jaycees
Inquiry has been received from the Junior Chamber of Commeroe regarding a carnival lioense and
they request that no other carnival or like license be issued thirty days prior to the date for the
carnival to be sponsored by their organization.
After consideration, the Commission stated that, upon submission of an applioation by the "JCsn
for a city license for a carnival, they will discourage the application of any other oarnival thirty
days prior to the dates set for the "JC" sponsored carnival.
Bids for Bonds S. T. D. No. 366 & 367
The form of advertisement for the sale of bonds of Special Improvement Districts No. 366 and
367 were presented. It was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the
Clerk of the Commission be authorized to advertise for the sale of bonds of Special Improvement
District No. 366 in the approximate amount of $8,500.00 and bonds of Special Improvement District

No. 367 in the approximate amount of $17,000.00, bids to be opened April 22, 1953, and the motion was

carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe,
Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none.
Sale of Middle Creek Water for 1953
A written offer from The Low Line Canal Company to pay the City of Bozeman Fifteen Hundred Dollars
for the use in 1963 of the 1060 acre feet of water which the City will have stored in Hyalite (Middle
Creek) Reservoir was presented. The City Manager reported that Peter S. Dyk, who leased and used 30
acre feet of this water in 1951, has made prior request to lease or purchase water in 1963. After
consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Lowe, seconded by Commissioner Erwin, that the City
Manager be authorized to negotiate contracts with Mr. Dyke and with the Low Line Canal Company for
the lease and use of this water in 1953 and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe, Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none.
Report - Idaho Falls Conference on Parking
The Manager gave a verbal report on the conferenoe on Parking Froblems which he and Chief of
Police Haas attended in Idaho Falls on March 23, 1963.
Improvements of North Seventh Avenue

A cross section map of the highway on North Seventh Avenue, showing proposed future development
and prepared by the State Highway Department, was presented and discussed by the Commission.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Erwin. seconded by Commissioner Lowe, that the meeting adjourn, and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Secor, Commissioner Lowe,
Commissioner Erwin; those voting No, none.
